We have started a fund through the Outer Banks Community Foundation to benefit OBX first responders.  Since our founding in 2021, we have set aside a portion of our revenue to donate to local volunteer fire departments.  The first couple of years we gave directly to a couple of local departments.  In 2023 we decided that we would rather start a fund through OBCF that could be more long lasting and impactful, as well as provide better accountability and transparency to the giving process.​

Our family has been in the area since the early 1970s and our father Steve Sawin served as a volunteer fireman and EMT when we were growing up.  He taught us the importance of supporting the local community through volunteerism.  As such, we would be honored to support the Collington VFD with our fund.​

There are 3 ways that we can contribute - ​

1. Now that our fund has been endowed, we can provide contributions directly from the fund​

2. When our customers order, they can contribute directly using our online ordering system​

3. We would like to challenge other local business owners to contribute
